My engine is a 241 hemi that came out of a 1953 Dodge fire truck. I have an Offenhouser intake with 4 Stromberg 97's on it. It's coupled to a Muncie 3-speed that came out of a Chevelle. All has been rebuilt and is nearly ready to slide into a pretty little '32 Plymouth roadster.

What on earth is that 3x2???? Do you have anymore pictures or info on that intake manifold? Never seen one like that...

    I think it's just half of a 6X2 manifold.

Oh yeah!!:eek: HAHA! I see there are no runners going down to the other side now. D'OH!

None the less though... I haven't a 6x2 like that either. Very different shaped log then what I'm used to seeing. It also appears to be a "wet" manifold. Very interesting!!

I have two; a highly modified one n my vintage dirt car; a '54 331 out of a New Yorker with 12.5 to 1 JE psitons, Engle roller tappet cam, 2 500 CFM 2GC's (gotta look vintage ya' know), and a Cirello "Frankenstein" magneto.:) You can see that motor in my avatar. Also, a 331 out of a '56 dump truck that is complete and turns, as a spare.

276 desoto, runs but smokes, needs a going over before going in my 31 a coupe.

  17. I have a 276 Desoto Hemi in my rusty, but complete 1952 Firedome S-17 sedan, imported from New Jersey in 1994 to Holland.
Also got a 331 Chrysler Hemi in my parted out 1954 Imperial sedan, stock with 4 barrel and 235 horses but you already knew that, imported from New Mexico in the 90´s
The Desoto will stay complete as a running car
The Chrysler will be in my 1939 Mercury coupe.
Both engines are complete and running.

'57 392, but not my last! I'm surprised Poverty Flats hasn't weighed in. Probably still typing!:eek::eek:

  21. I see this is a few years old but what the hell
    chrysler
    57 392 performance street build
    54 331 W/671 bored & stroked big
    55 331 turns over complete
    55 354 industrial stuck & 1/2 apart
( what about cool hemi parts spare set of 555 heads w/adjustable rockers, early edmunds 2x4 intake)

If this was set up as a "poll" it would have tracked the totals

I just joined the Hemi club today with my first - a 1952 331 out of a Chrysler Imperial.

I haven't decided what to put it in but it's the first piece towards my next project after I finish my '38 Dodge coupe.

Here it is as I found it in the junk yard:
