I don't care if I have to drive through a typhoon to be there, I will be at the Stray Kat 500 in Dewey this weekend! How many other out-of-towners are in for a pound, come what may?
I'll be there with you then!!! I hear everyone shows up rain or shine... so it'll still be good fun!!
Well, I do have a roof and side glass and windshield wipers so it's not a big sacrifice! I'm glad to hear that it's on no matter what.
I am going to drive up Sat but I don't have a rod rolling on it's own power yet. My dad is putting his 60 OLDS in the show I think. Hopefully the rain will hold out for all of us.
Hell yeah! Some of the best times we've had were in the rain... It's about the only time Mama's 59 will do a burn out.
We leave in 10 hours! Jeb put in about 80 hours getting the '50 a new motor and some other upgrades only to have a mysterious oil leak foil our plans last minute. We had to pull out the 'ol standby, "Nadine," Jeb's '51 Chevy. Good thing it is comfy and has satellite radio, but is not waterproof!
I literally won't know if I'm going, until Friday night! Been trying to get access to a truck that needs delivered to TX, but logistics on this shit has been a bee-otch! If I pick the truck up Friday evening, then the run to Dewey is off. If the owner and I can't get together by Friday evening, then I'm spending the weekend in Dewey!!! And I'm driving the Coronet!
It's on. B leaving here around 9 to 10 in the morning. Looks like good weather till later in the evening. Good trip everyone.
Leaving Enid about 8:30 a.m. Friday. Bringing the T (on a trailer). It's looking like we should have some good weather through the day with showers at night. Hope the weathers good for the run to Woolaroc.
We got over 7 inches of rain here in Springfield,MO last night and its still raining!!! I'll have to see how the weather is tomorrow before I set out. Why is it that it always rains when you have something that you really want to do?
