Where, when did you take this pic-if you did? Have you checked the Merc Club listing, by Bad Bob, here?

Is the Merc in this pic done in metal flake and what about the pics of the Merc in the beginning of the thread, are those metal flake or just a high metallic base clear. Thanks for the info guys!

I saw it 2 years ago in Vegas. The flames are flaked in a lime gold, the rest is satin black. One of the nicer cars built specificly for shock value.

I know there are 2 that look very similar. The one I posted is a '50 while the other is a '51 with the full treatment. The '51 is alot nicer of a car from what I can tell in pictures I;ve seen of it.

Just curious but what does the comment about being built specificaly for shock value mean?

I don't mean any disrespect to the builders, its just my personal opinion. Its a borderline cartoon car with how low it is and with the wild flames. The chop is nice, but the rest of the car is stock. Its almost like the purpose of the modifications were for attention only and not to help the overall flow of the car.

Yeah I was just wondering.. Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion.. I myself love them both and think they are badass! I can see them not doing it for alot of people though..
