Here is a pair of toy tether style cars I made for my two boys.
The body is scrap pine of a pallet from work and the wheels are stainless steel sheet stamped out with a press tool I built at work.
    I used 2"x1/4" "O" rings for tyres
They are far from perfect but I just wanted something the boys can pass on to their kids one day and say the silly old bastard made em!

    Very nice!
Did you have to true the wheels or did they stamp out flat?

The wheels are something you should think about selling. I've done a few smaller wood cars but used rubber wheels that I bought a box of a long time ago. The stainless wheels you have add the perfect touch to the simple body shapes.

Those are killer!!! They look a lot like the cast iron ones I played with as a kid. You could make a good penny making those for sale!! Sign me up for a pair!!

Thanks for the great feed back guys!
I was thinking about selling the wheels and axles but thought that it would be a bit pricey for a model car though-I figure 1 hours work in each set plus $5 in material would make them about $35 a set when you add postage might be say $45 a set but... the current exchange rate is about ~AUD71c to 1 USD makes it about $32.
They are not that true but it is good enough for a model car i spose-I might try a you tube vid to show run out.
I have to build another for my brother in law soon so I will do a how to with lots of detail on the wheels.

    cool!
Reminds me of the Miss Budweiser Hydroplane my dad made for me to tow behind my bike. Bent a couple of nails underneath it so it would skid around me when I whipped it in the cul-de-sac!
