I never get tired of seeing this T. If a person doesn't like this T, then they have NO taste in hot rods.

  2. So does this mean you would give up your lace topped caddy for a T-Bucket??

  3. Ugly is in the eye of the critic, they're all beautiful to their owners. This goes for T-Buckets, rods, customs and factory stock....more opinions.

I'd like to say that this is true but T's are so often f'ed up that it make me wonder about that statement.

  6. "Fugly"? ... I probably would not like "Ts" if it weren't for cars like this one. It's definetly in the same league as Ivo's & Grabowski's. No sir ... this one's right!

Oh yeah, that is terrible!! If you ever want to store it where you don't have to look at it, just let me know! :D

Seriously, this is one of the best T's out there IMO, and a very cool story to go with it too.

  9. Yes sir ... I agree with you 100%. It definetly screams "hot rod" .... no doubt. :)

I understand it's place in hot rod culture , but I have always thought that Grabowski car was one of the ugliest hot rods to ever achieve any popularity . Talk about ugly , unnecessary add-ons ! How many pipes does one car need ? He was obviously going with the "if it's ugly, chrome it " theory .I know toddlers that draw better flames .
All the other buckets you guys have posted on this thread are much more attractive . That car is relying on visual impact , not good proportions or good taste , almost as if it were built knowing that it would be a T.V. car . Probably an unpopular opinion , but it's the one I've got :)

Any T-bucket from the 70s-80s is ugly.

I have to agree that guy really put the ugly on Norm's T. And I don't agree that it was ugly before.

I have included two of my T Buckets. The yellow '23 was built in '77 with a 121" WB and a radical BBC 396. The '27, built in '87 has a new 383 - 425HP Stroker. Both have won numerous trophies.

    I really like this one.

Buckets are or can be great entry level hot rods, depending on how you work it. May not have the crowd appeal of a '32 or '34, or even an A, but some of us ain't got 50K liquid sitting around to build our first rod.

The problem with most of the ugly ones is proportion and stance.

I checked out a thread the other day where some guy took some craptastic 80's bucket, put in some work to turn it around and it turned out pretty cool, something that nobody would be ashamed to roll out in.
