Austin's very own Laura aka El Laura wins BIG!!! If you don't know Laura's White & Pink 1959 El Camino you don't get out much. The Rodder's Journal awarded Laura and her ride as their " Best Hot Rod " at LSRU, WOW!!!. Laura built this car on a small budget and works on it herself and drives it everywhere. We are blessed to have her as a friend and fellow hot rodder here in Austin. Very cool Laura, they couldn't have picked a better person for this award.

I was pretty weak when I first seen that car on Congress. I did not know that '59 Elky's and budget could go in same sentence. I love it and think it deserves TRJ award. Awesome...just plain awesome.

 

I first saw her Elky at Pistons and Paint and havent stopped bugging her everytime I see her about shooting it...........even though she is starting to get that ohno here he comes again look on her face when she sees me coming lol
