POR-15 also makes single-stage paints (Blackcote, Chassiscote, Flexcote in 16 colors, plus Sterling Silver) that adheres to the POR-15 base coating - keeps it all in the family for no issues. The Tie-Coat Primer I think you're referring to is usually used as a sandable primer and intermediate step between POR-15 base coating and anybody's paint.

yup I've used a few of their other products. I do have to redo the top rail of my Jeep frame now, since I tried it w/o prepping the surface like they say OR by sand blasting it. that prep is important; I also have the skidplates to do (hopefully only ONCE like my past experiences, before this frame and that set of headers that I thought I'd mentioned somewhere). It isn't a "bad batch" since it worked like always on the parts I prepped correctly.

ive use it a couple times and had mixed results. i used it on the inside of my a pick up and it peeled off in sheets even with the propper prep work. and ive also used it of little jobs just as a protectant on newer metals and it worked just fine. so im torn on the subject.
