After years of building a roadster in my head, hunting down parts and pieces... I end up buying one.

A few weeks back I spotted this ad on the HAMB Classifieds for a roadster in the Phoenix area. I mulled over emailing the owner for a couple days, and then put it out of my head figuring it was gone. Well, a few days after that I spot it on Craigslist. Some emails and calls were exchanged and the deal was done! The car arrived on Thursday and so far, the clouds have parted enough for a few drives and a couple good burnouts.

There are quite a few things that are going to get changed on there car, but I'll be able to tweak things, while enjoying it. So far, I've changed a few little things. The brake pedal was damn near right on top of the gas, so we scooted that over a bit. Since I like big headlights, I got the '34 commercial headlights on yesterday and wired today. And some other trivial BS. I'm planning on chopping and laying the windshield back a bit and it'll get a new seat built this year. Probably no upholstery until next winter. And, eventually it will be in shiny dark maroon/brown paint. It's an original Henry body, which needs a little love, but is over all very solid.

I haven't had free moments to take pics, but here are a few.

    As it arrived...

My pal and I heading out for the first voyage. We made a few hot laps of the 'hood before running out of gas about a block away from home.

    The new headlights...

Congrats, Brandi! I know you've been looking for quite a while, so it's gotta be a great feeling to finally have one -- and you can drive it!! I like the bigger headlights, too. :D

    What are the tire sizes?

Really great car! Congrats! Also makes me glad to know that I'm not the only one that has pulled a newly arrived ride off a trailer, then being so excited to take it for that first spin, didn't think to check the the gas level. :D In my case, must've been quite a sight watching me and my visiting in-laws pushing my Chevy 3100 up the street and back into the driveway as my embarrassed wife steered! Good times.

What's not to like on that little jewel. Just in time for a summer of fun, but be sure there's gas in tank before leaving town.:)
    Congrats, great score.
