wow, great hotrod and those headers look way cool. i wish my junk looked as good as yours. im a sucker for chrome rims and slicks.
More pics for NoSurf. Not much to show. Got the floor all drilled in on the template, then clecoed it all in. Then I started transferring to the sheet metal. Drilled the sheet metal, then started cutting out and deburring. A few more ours and I'll have a good floor.
Roothawg !! Nice ride man !! Love where your going with it. PLEASE keep us updated on the progress. Again .... KILLA RIDE!!!
Gizmo your scarin' me! Cant say I have ever felt like checking out Roots 'Junk'. Nics little A you got there though! Doc.
That looks good Root! I can't believe I missed this thread. Can't wait to see it done and I'll want a ride in it when it is.
Great build....nice proportions....I'm diggin' the rollbar.....Looks like it will see a little strip time.....keep up the good work!
Sorry Bro, been hooked up with kid stuff. Update coming Saturday. Floors are complete and sealed up. Gonna try a little experiment. I am trying some new coatings that they are using in reducing heat in attics. Gonna paint the inside of the car with it and record some temps before and after, just to see if it works. I think I found the parent company for POR-15 , the industrial version (i.e way cheaper), I will coat the steel with that first then with the temp coating. That is some first class work right there.... I know I'm late, but missed it 'til now. With a fuel cell in back, what are the plans for the hole in the cowl? Fresh cut flowers (better make them artificial so that the petals don't blow off. Stout and stable is good!
Looking good, are you use steel or alum for the floor, bolting or spot welding,i was thinking of riviting my floor
Dunno. I guess I'll just buy a new shiney gas cap for it. I actually glued it down and also shot it in with high tension blind fasteners (or rivets). I'll have more pics of the completed floor soon.
OK, as promised here are the pics of the super glued floor. I tired to make it as flat as possible. The last pic is of the shock mount on the wishbone forging. I picked up 2 different colors of seam sealer, that's why it looks different. I actually tried NP-1 which is an expansion joint caulk. We'll see how that works out.
