Gary, your work always makes my heart beat faster when I lay eyes on it.

Great first fink bud. It will be neat to see the sculpture once it's complete, or in the building stages would be cool too.

A couple of refrence to this already in this thread. Could someone explain what it is for us non-artist types.

Here is my contribution for the week. Sorry for the shitty scans they dont do any justice for the pieces.

#2 is the Barris built Ed Sloan '53 Plymouth
#3 is 1964 Chevy Impala (car is a friend of mine-Air Ride)

I'm not used to doing cartoony stuff, so be easy on me. I had the opportunity to draw something on-topic while on the company clock!

FWIW, a Wacom tablet was used in the creation of this piece. (But it started out as a pencil sketch on paper.)

Some stripes my friend Nibs (Non-HAMBer, hates computers) laid down on one of my basses. Sorry for the crappy pics, I couldn't figure out how to shoot such a shiny subject. [IMG]

    Wow, awesome work EVERYONE!

GaryC - I love One mile in!

HotrodJen - nice job on the covers -i have a '48 shelby that I took the chain guard off of (half the bike was gone so it's now a semi custom)-I'll look for it -it's around here somewhere!

Pacheco - your line quality just blows my mind!

Denise, Here's an example of a Wacom tablet -i've been using 'em for years -rarely use the mouse! -there are bigger sizes and smaller ones too:

first time in the friday art show, threw some letters and some stripes on the van this week, the logo will say "sales" and "service" on either side of the striping.

Thanks KC....that tiki has been in progress for about 6 hours now....and has about 4 hours left of finish work, and stain left....good to get off the computer and get back to carving....

  29. The SW Chicago HAMB & Eggers Saturday morning breakfasts usually feature a show & tell (well, mostly tell). Last week Jim32 brought this print he found framed in an antique store. It's dated 1903 and titled "The Pace That Kills". I tried researching the artist (Peyson, Payson, Rayson, Reyson), the title and even the company and found nothing. This guy was sure ahead of his time!

O.K. Wasn't going to post but...
    I guess I can't resist.
I asked Breeder if I could use one of his photos from last week also. I picked one of the other ones.
Here is what I saw in it.

12"X24" Acrylic on board. The painting looks much better in person, looks kind of washed out here.
So much great artwork each week from all of you. Love it.
