Al's collection is unreal! It deserves a book all to it's self. I know the car is in very good hands. I'm happy he got the car.

So here it is, removed third brake light from tailgate, new caps on the wheels, and added whitewalls. With the exception of the license plates, the outside is basically done. I also added a picture of the wagon being used for it's intended purpose.:)

Love 2 door wagons!! That thing is georgeous. The changes are spot on!!
The little one looks pretty cool with the feet propped up.

Nice pics of a beautiful wagon. Makena looks like she is already pretty comfortable in it.

The last of my changes are done. Final is the dash and steering wheel. We couldn't figure out an easy way to move the stereo and fill the hole in the dash, etc. so it stays. The stereo just got recessed a little more into the dash so it doesn't stick out as far. The billet slab was reshaped then milled out the middle section from left to right much wider than it was. It was then polished and the center section was painted Red. The steering wheel finally showed up. It then was painted White and the center section was painted Red. The wagon is done now in it's current state. It will get used and maintained until the times comes to re-do the car.

My first car was a '54 Ranch Wagon with a Y block. I was 14 yrs old and bought it with $45 I had saved from tossing newspapers and mowing lawns. It was a good running and driving car, but not too pretty. My Mom made me park it down at the end of the dead end street when she was expecting company. So, needless to say, I viewed these pics with a tear in my eye.

I'm sure that you and family will really enjoy this. I mainly wanted to reply to this thread so my name would be in the archives, just in case the day should come that you would want to sell, you would know how to contact someone that may be very interested. Have fun!

  20. I'm jealous! I really need something to haul the family around, the RPU doesn't cut it.

I love the clean lines, interior and exterior color

All around I give it a ten...

Will be a nice every day driver for sure ,

Now all you have to be aware of is the grin from ear to ear so people don't think your

    a little off your rocker...

Enjoy, we all deserve what we earn later in life....

Very nice car, very practical stance...low, but not too low. Very nice. I especially like the opened up rear wheel wells - a great touch for a wagon, but probably not too good on a sedan or hardtop, though. All in all, I like it!
