  3. OK guys, thats about it for mock-up, now it's time to get this sucker done. Any last bits of advise, concerns or coments are welcome. I have it sitting/looking about were I want it. Thanks so far!

Here it is pushed out into the sun light. Remeber it is all just sitting together, so things like the headlights and grill are not adjusted.

  8. They are the new Firestone 7.00 x 17's. Great balloon tread design.

Son of a Bitch those are nice!

  10. Ditch the "V8" script hub caps and put on some "Ford" script Banger caps. Other than that, it looks bitchin'

Not sure the chrome headlights work for me....liked the others better.
This is just an awesome piece of iron!

  14. I'm going to put the BLC's on it and see what it looks like, go from there. I love BLC's, but have had these neat chromes Guides forever without A HOME ;)
    Thanks!

Headlight Bar height looks much better - tyres look great & over all look is fantastic ! ( is that too many adjectives for one sentence? )

Cant wait to see after you have made your final grille/headlight adjustments.

I eagerly wait the next instalment.....

    Spencer.

  16. Thanks Spencer. Hopefully will not take too long to get her buttoned up! The only think I have yet to "figure out" is the radiator and making it work with the grill. Shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Chris, You make me unhappy with everything I own! great looking roadster.

  20. Here is the same setup but with BLC's. I am really torn, I like both headlights on it. What do you guys think?

Hi Chris: I looks fantastic, the 32 shell and insert have been shortened several inches, so your 29 A radiator will work well, you have a choice on what you might want to do with the filler neck. I hope you don't use those chrome headlights, but use a set of Arrow or AutoLamp headlights, and leave the KingBee's for the guys doing the 50's themed car, and leave the Guides for the lemmings. You are doing a great 40's gow job hot rod. See me if you can't find the headlights. Terry

I'm partial to the BLCs as I have a set on my own roadster, but you'll have to fudge up a set of turn signals. On the Guide set you could use those little red thingies as turn signals, I guess...
    Looks great, Chris.

Chris, I for one prefer the BLC's, in my opinion they look a tad earlier style than the Guides.Which ever ones you run it'll look just right either way.
Heck you could go Amocat style/ Lake style and not run any!:D

    Nick.

  24. Terry, good to see you on here! I think I'm going to ru nthe BLC's, love the look and very correct for the vintage. The grill is actually stock length, gotta get it all lined up and mounted.

  25. Turn signals...thats what my arms are for :D

  26. Just two small screws and that headlight bar pops off ;)

I personally like the BLC's out of all the ones you have. Another option are arrows, they have a similar shape but are a little smaller. So-Cal sells a really nicely made reproduction that is reasonably priced...

Chris, I think those BLC's work very well with the deuce shell. (The chrome lights pulled my eyes directly to them, and away from the shell). 2cents from me.
By the way, your energy is killin me.

  29. Chris, the BLC's look much better, plus they match the surface rust on the rest of the car. Where'd the v8 hubcaps go? Keith

  30. Thanks for the info! I've decided on BLC's.
