Ford had a relay that they used with there electrict fuel pumps. If you were in a crash or got upside down it shut of the pump. I lost the part number and am installing a ele fuel pump anybody know the part number or where to obtail one?
Rob one from an old Escort in a scrapyard. They are easy to get to with a low price at most pick n pay places.
I think they had me in most everything from like the late 90s and up. I know all there pickups have me right under the glove box area.
any ford 8?-92 efi models. normal location passanger kick panel. try for later 87-88. the early one's are sensitive to bumping and set off easily. ford # e1ae-9341-a2b from 87 mustang 5.0L. 2 styles 1st is the one listed 2nd is the newer model.
Merc Tracer '98. My mom's gettin around the neighborhood car has one. Driver's kick panel. just go to O'Reilly or NAPA and tell 'em you need one. They will be pretty much the same for about any Ford. Some of the Pintos (you remember those don't ya) used an oil pressure sendor to shut the fuel off if you lost oil pressure. So if you just want to make one flip proof that would work. Trust me if you turtle it, it'll loose oil pressure.
80s to mid-90s vintage Jaguars had nice inertia switches that are recangular and black and have a little reset buttin peeking out the bottom. They are mounted by the passenger (right side) doorframe - very easy to get to. The button can be used as a poor man's engine kill switch when parking in a bad neighborhood, as the car won't start with the switch engaged.
Tarus in the trunk on left side behind a sign that says they are there 98ish. Get the plug a new one from Ford is about $35. Which is more than the switch.
