Yep...thats a keeper on my desk top as well! Thanks! I tried to get good photos but none of mine captured the cars like yours do....plus the shitty digital camera I had. Great work!

    Thanks
    Larry

I've been meaning to contribute to the Friday Art Show, so for the first contribution, here's someone else's art.

My Grandfather, Walter Kobalka, passed away last year. He was a trained fine artist who made his living at a Cleveland Newspaper illustrating ads (appliances, furniture, etc.). He was also awarded a bronze star in WWII, for using arial photographs to produce maps and drawings for battle plans. After he died, his kids divided up his portfolio; oil portraits, nudes, sketches, pen and ink, you name it. My mom snagged this for me though, since it was car related, and I'm into old pedal cars. This was a drawing for a newspaper ad (dated around Thanksgiving so probably for Christmas ads) of a Murray pedal car (made in Cleveland). It's now framed and matted and takes up space on my fireplace mantle.

Luckystrike that Stromberg disc is great!

Lowcab-- I dig the non-Photoshopped painting. One of these days I'm gonna save up enough cash to buy one of these from you. This one is one of my favorites so far.

And thanks everyone for the compliments!

Jill and I have been researching the dying art of chainstitching.

A prototype piece, laid out and chainstitched on felt, by the very talented Jillian Silva.

This may be my favorite FAS piece ever. This is fantastic. It is now my background on my computer, and if you ever do paper prints I could afford, It would look great on my wall. Unbelievable.
