Update! The list of changes is not that extensive, I hope what's been done has proven effective. Here is a description with photos to date... After the top was chopped, I was lucky enough to talk "Bleeds" dad into some bodywork pre-Roundup. Note: He worked his ass off under a makeshift awning behind the "Speed shop" Stripping and straightening everything from the beltline up,he then sanded/sealed and shot the car in DP-90. It was awesome to have Bob sr. involved... completing the "Merkt" family experience. While the top was being chopped I had the stock seat recovered in black/white rolls & pleats kudos to "Carlos" for his fine work. I stripped the dash and had it repainted, located a 55 T-bird steering wheel, re wired and installed the NOS stewart-warner "survey" speedometer and 2 5/8 gauges. The cockpit feels like home! I procured and restored a pair of "Guide" headlights, swapped out the goofy front shocks for a covered pair. Moving to the rear, a new spreader bar and some 46 chevy tailights cleaned things up.
