    GaryC.

You won't see this scene anywhere East of the Rockies.
The large expanse of a dry lake and a jalopy speeding along
are the essence of hot rodding for me.
Here's a new digital painting that I call
    "Spirit of the West".
The sun, the dust, a healthy roar from something that someone built
in their garage is the hobby at it's best. True Americana.

I think I made it on the first page for a change! (I suppose I won't know until it posts up though so I shouldn't get so excited.)

I new piece for me that I have plans to turn into another poster.

This has been keeping me up late and night and up early in the morning tweaking and revising. Hope y'all enjoy as much as I have been

    Yeah, that's really sweet Gary.

    WWW, I like your style:)

This is the truck I put up a couple weeks ago. A photographer friend took some more pics of it, and on one he even photoshopped my logo on the door, with that traditional weathered look:D

Gary that's awesome. Keven that is a wicked piece.

I haven't been able to participate in quite a while, but I've been watching the calibre of work go up and the amount of talent poured into the art show for the past few months has been outstanding. Keep up the killer work everyone.

This is an older one slightly reworked...

Started with a 12 x18 sheet of black illustration board. Made full size sketch on white bond paper. Rubber cemented two together and Xacto cut white. Same thing with yellow paper. Highlights done with pastels.

Great work everyone. Thanks for letting me participate.

    Guess it's Friday somewhere now.....

Ralph finley did the design for this years ago and gave it to me ....he is an incredible striper who taught me almost everything I know.

Painting done this week with some Photoshop to it.
Graphics and painting I usually always try and keep separate but they are both what I do.
Why not combine them...? Seems to work for others.

    Great start this week guys!

I did a pic of old rod's roadster. It's been ten years since I've penciled a car, so go easy on me,ha ha!
All apologies for the crappy cell phone pic. I had to mess with the color a bit to get it to look right.

  21. GARY, THAT'S COOL!

brewsir, The tank is masterful. That bike is going to be one beautiful
    work of art.

Doug, the clock is sick. If you're running late, you'd better get it in gear...(sorry)

    LowCab... another killer.

    It's all good, y'all...

Been working on a project for some Washingtonian H.A.M.B.ers for a couple weeks.
The following are elements of the final project that I've adapted into images of their
own. I'll post the other stuff when it's all done and in the mail.

I wanted to do something a bit more complete and the Wacom needed the workout. Both are sketches scanned and colored in Photoshop.

    Details...
