    Hello All,

Well here it is my first ride.
My father in law and I's first attempt at a rod.
Frame and headers were made by my father n law.
Floor pan and engine install by myself.
The grille shell is from an old hobart welder.
The front wheels are from a tractor combine.
The back wheels will be changed upon delivery from Coker.
Can anyone guess what the body is from?
I got a bed on it now I will updates pics next week

We will paint it in about two weeks.
Any opinions are welcome good or bad.

    Thanks guys,
    HC

    you guys are getting warmer.
We are going to paint olive drab and black
    military inspired,
we welded some old ammo boxes behind the gas tank in the bed
for a battery and some tools.

Dunno what that dody is. Would look better if the top of the grille shell was brought down so it was in line with the cowl. Might be too late in the build though. Bed or no bed?

Very interesting. From what I can make of it the body started off as a big truck of some sort that you cut down.I see a bit of school bus yellow in there!!Or maybe the same tractor combine you got the wheels from??

Don't mention ammo boxes. It's a touchy subject here. ;)

Excellent!! Keep going. Definitely not a cookie cutter rod. Gotta love independent thought.
Looks sorta like a an M-38....3/4 ton military truck.

I'm gonna go with a mack body, the grille looks like an old truck grille. I just sold a brockway which is macks canadian model. Plus i figured the mack brush might be a hint.

If I have to guess I'd say its a cut down Autocar truck cab.

The build looks decent so far, I'd be worried that the combine/tractor rims might shimmy at high speeds, make sure they're true and balanced properly. I also have a feeling that you will sit very high up in the car due to the shallow cab depth and the position of the frame rails, but if it's long enough and you can sit in a more reclined position I guess that'd be OK.

I'm quite interested to see what the grille looks like head on, if you wanted to post pics.
