Thought you fellows would enjoy this. Our local Boy Scout Council had it's annual car show yesterday and the local paper was taking pictures and did a short interview with me.

    Article is as follows:

    By Bridget Nash, Staff Writer

"If you can't drive'em, they're not really worth having"

That's how Enid's George Gordon feels about owning cars worthy of a show floor.

Gordon showed one of his cars at the 11th annual Cimarron Council Car Show Saturday at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

The 1927 Model-T Gordon was showing was a popular attraction at the show, even though it wasn't "trailered in" like many of the other cars.

"We tend to drive it wherever we go," said Gordon. "We don't trailer it much".

The car has been driven to shows all over Oklahoma and Gordon even drives it to work.

"You can tell it's been driven. So what"? said Gordon. "If you're not going to take them out and drive them, what good are they?"

Gordon has had the car for about a year and a half. He was working on a 1928 model car and traded with a friend in South Dakota for the 1927 model. He said he traded because the '27 was pretty much complete and the '28 had quite a bit of work left.

"I'm 60 years old and that project might outlive me," said Gordon "It's more fun to drive them than work on them."

And Gordon does have fun driving it. He has competed in drag races and said the old car will go 90 miles per hour in 15.24 seconds.

"I's really an old, steel '27 model T" said Gordon. "It's not a kit car. It's a real, old kind of hot rod."

The newest part on the car is the 1961 Ford rear axle. "There is nothing on this car that hasn't been modified," said Gordon.

And the article goes on to talk about the scout program...

Fellow H.A.M.B.er Twisted Okies delivery can be seen in the picture as well. That car has logged over 60,000 miles since it's been on the road.

Just a little preachin' the gospel locally, Hope you enjoyed the read.

Good deal. I'll go along with you. "It's more fun to drive them then work on them." I'm 62 still trying to get my garage set up. I drove 100 miles this morning to pick up an old one ton chain hoist for $40.00 It's one of those that were made to last more then one lifetime. MADE IN THE USA.

Congrats man, I love seeing these old skool cars on the highway, actually driving instead of riding. Keep it up!

Congratulations on the head lines. My views exactly-If you can't drive them there not worth having. I say outlaw trailer queens at all local events.
