Those are some fine old photos, I believe that is the first round track Henry J I have ever seen. I wish I had photos that went back to those days.

I am going to post some hobby-cadet class cars along with the latemodels along.

At Georgia International probably about '82-'85 or so.

    Dixie Speedway probably about '80-'81.

These may be too new for this site but I was scanning some old photos I took at North Wilksboro and thought I would post. Man I sure miss tracks like N Wilksboro.

Pne more and I'm through for the day.

The late Rob Moroso, I think this is his last race as he was killed in a street car wreck after the race.

i just wonder how good rob would have been? he seemed to have talent.of course REAL deep pockets didn't hurt.not knockin him,jus thinkin

  26. In retrospect, I don't think Rob really had the kind of money we all thought he did. Sure, he had finances, but he also had talent. Above all this though, he had a hell of a lot of potential with his contacts! I really think he would have been in the middle of the hunt though had he never had that accident. Had he lived through that november and never took a drink that the rest of the 'politically correct world' could know about, everybody would still be alive and he, Robby, would have had wins in the double digits by now.

He just HAD to be in the drivers seat that night.

That #3 is Paul Goldsmith's Smokey Pontiac on the beach at Daytona. He started from the pole to win the final event on the sand!

Virtually stock bodied deuce, flathed, don't get much more nostalgic than that.
