Hey the scoot is the only thing i have going right now and it really doesnt fit in on the JJ..(it may be a harley but its new and fairly stock) I love my hot rods but im just plain lucky to have the harley left without a fucking job.. I just came from the garage as the mail lady just dropped of my laydown license plate bracket ... All mounted and looking good... Too bad its about 38 outside.. Oh ya if anyone has an old yamaha sx650 laying around for a cheap price id sure entertain the idea of building a lil bobber to fuck around with.. I may be off all summer cause there aint no jobs out there so id have time to do a nice one..

HELL YES. I had a 2003 Bonneville America in Caspian blue and silver....gorgeous bike!

Now i ride an 81 yamaha 850 triple with near open pipes....nothing like that 3 cylinder sound!

 

Yes I did look at the brake. I didn't look real close at first. It is a twin leading shoe hub. Very cool

And if it was the Daytona winner in '72 or '73 I'd be upset that the bike got modified like that. Though the '72 bike being the first 2 stroke to win the 200 with Don Emde probably would have been worth more than the '73 Jarno Saarinen bike. Though by '74 we had the TZ700's with Agostini making it a whole other ball game. .

 

I rode this 51 Norton Domi Featherbed for 30 yrs and never saw another one. Should have been one of my keepers. I built it Cafe style in the mid 60's. Came out of the Indian factory less eng when they it shut down. They were toying with producing Vintons after Vincent production shut down. They were distributor for Norton and Vincent in that era.

Maybe the most talented rider I ever saw, and I've seen most of them from the 70's to current. From his early Speedway & Ice racing days to really being the guy who "Invented" hang off, knee down roadracing style that Kenny Roberts would later copy and perfect and now all the world does. Aprillia RS125 2 stroke....a point and squirt bike and without doubt the best handling bike I have ever ridden..it's just so frantic it's fucking stupid. In it's currently restricted mode it's good for over 100mph and is stupidly quick (remember it's 125cc)..it just comes alive over 7000rpm...

and a Kawasaki VN400 (it's a sleeved down drifter motor) Vtwin..Hard tailed, shotgun pipes and a bunch of hand made parts inc the bars....

a Harley chop is next!!

What did you do for wheels? I want to build a TZ wannabe out of my RD. A friend gave me a set of aluminum XS wheels but the front is a 19", I need an 18". Would a rear 18" lace up ok with a front hub? I'm worried about the angles of the spoke holes.
