Hello everyone. Wanted to introduce myself. I'm pretty green but I like learning. My first truck was a 1980 (or around that year) chevy c10. I enjoy reading and appreciating the work that goes into keeping older vehicles running. I miss the truck and would like to purchase/modify one. I'm a member on GarageJournal for a while now and always visit this site when there are shared links.. I figured I would join so I can lurk and subscribe to interesting ythreads. I do some welding and light fab and I'm building my garage to support my projects. I work a lot but would like to hang out and offer help to local guys doing builds. OJT is best.
We all started out green. There's a wealth of experience here, I'm on the verge of geezerhood and still learning. Stick around, you'll learn a lot, lots of good folks here who are glad to share their knowledge and experience.
Thanks alot guys. Right now I stick to working as much OT as I can handle and taking care of home business while waiting for my car stash to grow. The ideas still float in my head so I read about things and do builds on paper/excel waiting for the cash to come in.
Welcome. This is a great place to hang and bench race or what ever. I thought I knew alot about cars and then I bought a hot rod.
Welcome, there's a lot of knowledge to learn on this site, and everyone is very helpful! Don't be afraid to ask for it.
sometimes you dont even have to ask-somebody already has or somebody else is posting a tech tip-just too much to see or keep on at t imes-but very helpful and informative
Wow that brings back memories, I grew up in Jersey and have fond memories of the drags at raceway park in the 70's. I am new here as well, welcome.
