Building a header for my tudor. Six big pipes, 2 1/8 or 1/4(for comic effect) turned up at the bottom like drag pipes. I want to try some baffles. I hear / read about guys using "motorcycle baffles" do you just scrounge six used mufflers the same and gut 'em or is there a source for new inserts?
Whitney's has the shorty's http://www.jcwhitney.com/INTERNAL-BAFFLES/GP_2006266_N_111+10211+600014675_10111.jcw But really any Harley shop should have em or at least be able to get em for ya
Wife said we're painting the house. I said "yes dear" she don't tell me what to do on the cars, i don't tell her what to do to the house. Works good for both of us.
There is a house not to far from me that has been pink for as long as I can remember, I like it. It would make giving directions to people easy as hell...Look for the pink house, you can not miss it!
Poor bastard, all he wanted was advice on mufflers and everyone is throwin him under the bus about his pink house... At least its not Kawasaki green like my neighbors...
My neighbors house is pink. The directions to my house are as follows. " Go out 541 past the junkyard. Keep going until you see the big pink house on the left. Mash your brakes, I'm the next house." Everyone knows the pink house, lol. As for the baffles, order 2 extra and send them to me. I need them for my bike, lol.
Lmao rotf. I get tons of ribbing from my buddies about the pink house, believe me! The worst part is the little "garage" is the wifes! Shes got her scooter and big bike in there. I'm not even allowed to use it! I'm "A messy BOY" i have to give her credit though, when i sold my 70 swb f100 hotrod and brought home a rusty looking model a carcass she didn't bat an eye. She just made sure to ask me to make the drivers seat adjustable so she can drive it to work at nordstroms.

If you live close to a harley shop you can find a ton of stock mufflers in the dumpster. Especialy if the shop does alot of mods before th bike is put on the sales floor.
If you're considering these, test them before you build an elaborate exhaust system that can use only these. They were popular in the '70s on HDs and in rods, because they were the only baffles you could buy, and I hated the way they sounded. Makes your engine sound like it has emphysema. Not great for HP either.
I've tried these and they kinda suck! They need to be installed tight and welded in or else they could rattle! They don't sound very good either. Ya can get them for around $12.00 for a pair. Good luck!
