Some of these look like they were shot by pro's using the best equipment and they look AMAZING. To me a backyard paint job is rattle-canned such as my old 57 Chieftain. I rattle-canned it in the Garage and the Driveway.

I really wish I still had that car.

I have done a several "garage jobs", and even got to use a booth once over the course of 25 years, but NONE of the cars I have ever painted are HAMB friendly....

Most everything I have done has involved the extra work of a color change...

Lots of stuff at work trucks big and small, and lots of trailers, perhaps 20 or 25 of these vehicles?

    also,

A car I THINK was an ugly little 60s Fiat coupe (Favor, good)
82 Mustang 4 banger (Favor, good except for the fly trapped under the clear coat, became kind of a "mascott" for a while)
71 Corvette (Mine, a paint and then a repaint before leaving the shop when the color I "got cheap" just sucked, ended up looking really nice)
86 Firechicken (Mine, I screwed this one up with "blue Pearl", so I traded it off, my wife is still pissed about me screwing up her "favorite car ever"... )
86 Mustang, I got to use a booth on this one, it came out really nice, (Favor)
    94 Chevy 1500 (Mine, good)
    90 Chevy 1500 (sons, nice)
    94 Cavalier, (Favor, looks good)

and I am sure I am forgeting something...

All but the dark blue F100 on the far end have been painted in a home garage or barn.

Painted this with an old sale spray gun that I found at a garage sale and the worlds smallest compressor. Single stage PGP with flatner added. Done in my garage during a rain storm

Painted this with a rattle can and did the flake with a paint brush and clear from Home Depot.

I'd love to hear how you did the flake with a paint brush if you wouldn't mind sharing.
