Dump Truck Wheel Stander (slightly o/t)

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Either this guy has been watching lots of "wheel stander" footage or he forgot to put the bed down

* No injuries occured. The truck was stabilized with two heavy wreckers and the driver was rescued with the local fd ladder truck*

 

I saw that in tonights paper, really funny.

 

happened to me while building hiway 69 in muskogee okla in 1977...tailgate malfunction...

 

wow. if it stays up for more than 3 hrs does he have to call a doctor?

 

must be the guy's brother...

 

happens all the time with the salt spreader trucks

 

i'll bet the driver had to find some new drawers.

 

Been there myself. Didn't know the old Y block had it in her...

 

he got real lucky....

 

AHHHH.... That AIN"T funny. That could have been real serious. Seen that before, and it wasn't pretty.

 

boy they will give a CDL to anyone these days. that could have been real ugly. some times it pays to get out and walk around the truck after dumping. hes lucky... hope he has learned his lesson.

 

How the heck does that happen, exactly?

driver probably forgot to release the tailgate, raised the dump body, and the load shifted to rear with no place to go since the gate was closed. Truck goes up in the air. Happened last summer on the jobsite I was on.

 

Man that sign is strong !

 

Take a closer look. There is NO load, this guy was booking down the highway and hit the body up button!! Very bad idea. I wonder if he still has a job.
