thin or wide whitewall. i know the usuals - Coker, BFG and Diamond back... but is it safe to say that pretty much any cheap 16" tire can be had with a thin whitewall?

looking at new options for my Nova. i'm thinking 16x7 or 16x8" Gennies or Smoothie steel wheels. trying to get up on my whitewall tire options before i buy another set of wheels i cant afford tires for.

    thanks

Never, I mean never put wide whites on a '60s car, let alone on a econo box.

15's are cheaper and provide many more choices, both wheels and tires. pigpen

  7. These are 16"s. This design was first made in '61 and released on imperials/ caddilac's, etc. Some had triple WW's- but most all were thinner than mine.Like 5/16".

love em! look like the Shinko double white stripe rear tire on my bike.

  9. [IMG]i tend to think that this sidewall design has some interesting applications, if for no other reason than that it looks like a "rally" stripe popular in the 60's..

  10. What tires are these? I'm looking for some 16's for my non-hamb friendly shop truck.
