Murdercycles that is my goal in my next build, something I can drive year round. That means it has to be able to handle lots of snow.Have learnt my lesson and need to be able to drive more often in all weather.:D

  12. We are lucky enough in North Texas to be able to drive almost all year. I drive mine every chance I get. Mine isn't exactly a hot rod, more of a custom in the works.

  13. Above or below ZERO.....

  14. I drove it every day before I moved to the north west. I took my grand kids for a ride during the christmas holidays. in kingman az i even drove it in the rain.

Every day, the Hot Rod or the Custom, it's one or the other. Average morning here is about 20 F, a few last month were down to zero F.

Until recently the Nash Hot Rod didn't have top or windows so I had to wear gloves, ear flaps, and coat, but now with a heater, tonneau top, and windows, there's no need to avoid any type of weather. It's kind of fun watching the mud sling off the front tires!:D

Today it's sunny, I won't get much work done, just "road tests"

  18. Yes, even when it's -20F out. However, it's not really a "hot rod".

Can't really here. This isn't a hot rod friendly environment all year long.

It's been over 65º for nearly a week. I haven't had the top up on anything I own since about the middle of January. We hot rod and fly almost every day of the year here (or could - don't do either one EVERY day). Here's a shot taken over the top of the windshield of the '27. This was yesterday at 1300hrs, heading for a buddy's house.

I logged over 500 miles in my 32 roadster in the month of January alone. Houston is not to bad in Jan. 40 to 50 degrees.

Nomad is my daily driver. The Olds, I half own with a buddy and he has it at the moment. Use the A as much as possible, weather and gas permitting.

  26. I got no problem driving one of my cars in all weather, even the ones without windows. I'm used to driving open cab firetrucks during any storms which is loads of fun on the highway.... The salt exposeure is a completely different story though.
