History Vintage lakes '28-29 RPUs - pix, details, builds

    Doing research for my next project, which is currently a pile of old rusty parts off to the side of my garage which I've been adding to for a few years.

    I really love the "Chopsticks Special", and other similar lakes 28-29s from the era - they nail the type of build I am shooting for: no windshield/fenders/anything not absolutely necessary; banger or flathead v-8, probably under a hood and with a 32 grillshell.

    I'm going for something like an undropped 32 axle, '36 wires or '40 discs . . . you get the idea.

    I've attaches some pix - what do you guys have? Any vintage pictures of lakes RPUs, or details/pictures of existing trucks built in this traditional style? Not looking for channeled, z'ed, groundscrapers here - just real lakes hotrods.
