how do you weld rear differential gears?

The easiest would be to take the cover off and spray the spider gears down with solvent and mig em up.... AKA a poor mans locker.

 

Ya weld them up and don't turn any sharp corners. We did that to circle track racers but in the corners the rear-end was broke loose so we didn't have an issue with the lock up. Just remember you cant undo a screw-up. thats funny I dont care who you are.

 

oh man i laughed my ass off with this one it might even have topped the port and polish with the black blast through the intake.

 

you can kiss that rear diff goodbye if you weld the spider gears together.......just buy a locker and do it the right way.......then you will be done with it..

 

I didn't click the link, the retard welded his pinion to his ring. Must have been a joke or high on speed. One or the other.

the correct answer is to package that welder up and return it your to stupid to use it buy one for welding plastic bumpers instead A lot easier on parts

True, I didn't see that particular picture....because as I said I've seen versions of it on several different forums...and didn't feel like flipping through the whole thing all over again...but yes, it was a joke...the ring & pinion gears were damaged & failing...the guy decided to have a little fun with the Internet before replacing them.
