Is that an airflow grille or handmade?

For years I've dreamed of a very similar car about 7/8 scale with banger power. It's gonna be neat to see ya finish this one! Super awesomely cool car.

The insert is hand made 1952 bar stock and stick welded...

I agree on everything else!!! A banger would be sweet!

    Thanks,
    Matt

[IMG]1937 Alfa GP car is what this grill reminds me of. :)

Given that Doc Gage was one of the pioneer Genesee Gear Grinders, have you made this info available to Kathy Ridley (Bill Waddill's daughter) who has been working on a book covering her father and the G.G.G. Club?

Grille reminds me of an old Indy type racer.

What are you going to door with the doors or possibly lack there of?

Kathy may have not heard about my car yet, She is very aware of Michigan hot rodding, my dad has been taking care of Bill's sedan for the last 29 years.

    I'm sure she'll dig it!

    Meeeee LIKEEEEEY

Anything that starts on 32 rails can't be too awful wrong.....

Didn't Doane Spencer's roadster have the exhaust through the frame thing?
    (sorry, I'm on a heavy Dayquil/Nyquil regimen)

  14. I love the exhaust exits;)

Why Yes he did my drug'd friend...it was late in the roadsters life for Doane, he was busy building a "Bird" and drawing his next roadster...but the Panamarica was coming so Doane built a new exhaust for the roadster mounted high in the chassis...

Unicorns have a horn and no wings, Pegasus (think Mobil Oil) has wings and no horn.
BTW the Roadster is lookin' great!

Matt, I think the stance, proportions and lines are spot on... this is a really refreshing build to watch... I have nothing against 32's, model coupes etc, but its just nice to have a breath of fresh air from time to time... this is it.

Exactly what I was thinking. The proportion are dead on!

nope. a pegasus has wings, a unicorn is just a horse with a horn.

a PEGASUS with a horn is swiftwind, which was she-ra's steed in the master's of the universe cartoon :D
