Found this car in a barn! Looks like some buddy did a lot of work and stopped. To bad for him and great for me. What to you HAMBERS think how I should build it. gasser, air ride, small block or stock.

    Nice Deuce!!

I had a '65 a few years back. You can really make those cars go fast without a lotta work. I built a 383 stroker for mine - and it was plenty fast!

Please don't put a Heidt's Mustang II kit in it. Seems like everyone these days is doing it, and unless you are going to autocross it, it does not need it!

I just rebuilt the front suspension stock on mine, and it was just fine.

But - I really dig the looks of these cars as gassers. If I had to do mine over again, I probably would do the straight axle front suspension.

They are really neat cars - have fun with it man!

Just put it back together and drive it!!!

Anyone can build a gasser out of a rust bucket, but how often do you get the chance to tool around in a near perfect survivor???

The gasser thing is bordering on overdone in my book.Yeah,I like 'em , but it's turned into a craze. Build a sleeper. Stout small block & 4 speed. White paint and dog dish caps on steelies.Nothing that couldn't be put back to stock. In 10 years these cars will be worth what Chevelles are worth now.

Looks like the engine's in great shape. Throw some paint on it and drive it.

  21. What a great find.
I'd get it running and roadworthy, and then decide what to do. I personally think that it would be a shame to just tear into it. Even though it's had some resto work done it's kinda like a time capsule, and you don't find that anymore.

Looks like my 63 ss that's hiding in my barn.
I can't make up my mind on what to do with mine either.

I'd paint yours if I had it and drive the snot of it.

Gassers are cool. Sleepers are cool. But I dig the stock crap as well and that car is great start for that. I'd get that sucker on the road and drive the piss outa it. Nice find.

I see one of the early II's and I think of Steve Magnante's "Wilshire Shaker" AWB gasser.

Cool stuff, but would be more enjoyable just to get it streetable and DRIVE it.
