WEll its been one week today. I got the phone call no one wants to get. My dads wife called from Tenn and said my dad passed in his sleep last night. Oh my god . What now you are never ready to here that one . He owned hotrods before he could drive. Bought a gas station in La Jolla calif in the fiftys , pumped gas and him and his freinds worked on there hotrods. He was a member of the Tappets car club in La Jolla fifty years ago. we just went to there Fifty year reunion a couple years ago. He said to me wow lots of guys had passed on and I felt very lucky to still have him. He flew out a couple times a year to visit me and allways came out for the So Cal Speed Shop open house and the LA Roadster show. I have a 32 five window project that has been on the back burner and he would always say, get the bucket running so we can drive it to the Roadster show. You know I wont be here forever, boy does that ring true now. Just want to tell you all love your folks with all your heart. They can be gone in an moment. Danny Deacon / Duecevw RIP Dad , HAL DEACON 1936 - 2009 You are the best...

Sorry for your loss,Danny. Keep all the good times you had with your Dad in your thoughts. That's what worked for me.
Sometimes you just cant find the words to express your thoughts,.... I am so sorry to hear about your loss Danny,.... You and your family will be in my prayers. 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
So sorry for your loss. You get that deuce running roll it down to the roadster show and I guarantee he will be riding shotgun.I truly believe that.
My condolences on your loss. Appreciate your family while they're still here. (and build that Deuce in his honor)
Condolences to you and your family. My Dad passed in 2004 @ 83 years of age. I miss him everyday ... but the passage of time does HELP. Just remember the GOOD times
Danny, Very sorry to hear about your dad. Mine has been gone 14 years this year and it still seems like yesterday. He was my hero. Gasser Girl
Danny, I am deeply sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a parent. I lost my mom to breast cancer in Jan. 08. I miss her every day! Just remember....the more the person was loved, the bigger the hole in our hearts. Sounds like your father was truely loved. Grace and peace to you and your family! In Christ Brett
