    ***UPDATE***
I went today and picked my leather out and bought it. I got 4 HUGE hides and they are beautiful. They are super bright white. I got to cherry pick and get the hides I wanted too! Damn I never thought it would go this far...lol!

Cool thread...thanks for the progress updates. This is my 62 XL in stock form. I sold my 54 Bel Air on supremes and my 60 VW panel to get up the $$ for this one. I'm gonna do something like this 62 Merc...love all the chrome and the simplicity of the mods...gives it a great look without being overdone.
I will be bagging mine in the next month or so (if i dont get laid off or demoted like so many of us).
    keep thi pics coming

One hint... TOTALLY DIFFERENT (not blue)...if I told you I would have to kill ya...lol No, really I think I have it narrowed down to a gold. Guess I better be deciding for sure since it is already blasted and getting ready to start on the body work...lol

I will keep ya enformed, and yes I would like to get those valve covers.

Well, i did go to Mens Warehouse and get me a white suit to wear. And the interior is going to be white and I am going to embroider the Miami Vice logo on the center of the back seat. Just having trouble finding a black guy to ride around with me that I can call "Tubs"...lolololol

Perhaps, Ron could be Tubs. He's not black but loves Donuts so the name "Tubs" works for him.

Im really leaning toward GOLD. I am a gold whore, so it really is proper to do it in that color... dont you think the Miami Vice logo will look real nice on the back seat with me and Tubs (Ron) cruizin South Beach style?
