Hot Rods WINTER PROJECT: The LEGION SPECIAL from the Beginning to UPDATE #7! Matt Gets INJURED

Thanks to everyone who posted pics of European sports cars they are great pics. But that&#8217;s not were we found our influences. This is not a sports car nor is it a road racer, it&#8217;s a LAKES MODIFIED ROADSTER here are some more pics from our reference file. Note how all the LAKES MODIFIEDS are tall and thin, even the 40&#8217;s Indy cars are tall and thin. Ryan you&#8217;re into dry lake history, any thoughts?<p>

 

This build is one of my all-time favorites!

 

I love the nose, I love the car, hell I just love the thread!!!

Keep up the great work and try not to use up all of your first aid kits tape mocking up pieces on the car, you never know when captain America over there is going to try and put his eye out again.

I would never get in a pissing contest with someone so able to demonstrate their bladder was that well full! All very Nice Bluto. I never claimed to be KIRKs defender or the gatekeeper of this site. It just gets old when people's first comments about builds are smart ass comments and they do not always come across as being funny. KIRK didn't get your first comment either and I'm sure others saw it the same way I did. You may think you are one funny SOB but when you have to come back and explain your "funny" comments you are not doing a very good job of conveying your incedible sense of humour.

My ray of sunshine comment was based on the fact that lately every thread I see you post on you start out by making some "witty comment" that comes across as being smart assed and yes they may not be directed at me or they may be jokes but they get old and I'm not the only one on this board to have stated that opinion in the last little while. If you have something constructive to say just say it. When it take you three posts to convey "stop step back and look" maybe you are the one wasting bandwidth and when the longest post on this thread is about you having to defend your honor I would say it looks like it is all about you not me.

You have alot of very useful information and experience to add to this board and it would be nice if you would present it before you try run your comedy act.

I like it a lot! one of the cooler builds going on for sure...I think a lot of peoples opinions of the nose will change once you cut a grill opening in it... looks good, keep it up!
