I am an avid builder of models and I have a plan for a large diorama, it will be a 2 part one with a rusty car on one half and a rod on the other kinda a before and an after shot, thought I would share the before build, hope you like it! Lots of work went into this thing! It is the minicraft 1/16th scale 31 roadster. Jim

  5. That's pretty sharp. Nice weathering.

I've been welding plastic since 1960.

I've been trying to get back into models for a month now, but somewhere along the line all the hobby stores closed their doors ... now just finding model glue is a huge PITA. Is there a place online I could just order a starter kit (glues, 500-1000 grit sandpaper, modeling putty, etc?... maybe some of that rustall stuff of which you speak?). It's kind of sad to see an entire chunk of american hobbying just completely disappear from store shelves. The nearest hobby shop is a couple hours away according to my web browser. Sad.

    Nice job by the way.

I used sophisticated finishes for the rust on the model, it is a 2 part system and you can get it at michaels craft stores. Thanks for the comments guys. My head is doing great, I got the staples out today, however when they did all the x-rays they found a spot in my kidneys sooooo now I have to go see a specialist about that to see what is going on there, hopefully it is nothing maijor.
