I've never seen "that" before, some 43 years later. I would think that after they went by me, I would have noticed something odd, but the, again, it was 1966 and I was 15...hmmm

"Irwindale, 1966." That just sounds cool all by itself.

All of this Anglia stuff is GREAT!! Anyone thats chopped one have a chunk of the left windshield post they no longer need? I have a little rust repair if I ever get to work on my 48. Just as soon as I finish off some other toys.

This one is owned by a friend of my old man. He built our narrowed 12 bolt for us. The craftsmanship is amazing. This guy builds some nice rides. And it was recently in a 4 page spread in HOTROD mag.

I like it! Looks like an old Matchbox car with the button-caps and skinny black tires. Killer stance.

This one was built in England by Geoff Cousins in the early 80s, before apearing in a bobbins film with Macca. I belive it was then given away in a competition to two sister who had no interest in hot rods. It seemed to disapear off the radar from then. Can anybody fill in the gaps?

Just ran across the photo of the 1949 anglia I had in 1977. It was an ex drag car. It had a 283 bored to 301, B&M Turbo 350, Narrowed 60 pontiac rear. Super Stiff Straight front axle that I replaced with a 69 Opel Kadett front suspension ( Fit and worked great, still sat nose up also). Full roll bar, Ansen aluminum slots. Fun but SCARY to drive...

Here's mine - spent the last 30 years in a nice dry barn less than 1/2 mile from my house! Not many unmolested originals like this one left in the UK.
