Jeff beat me to it. Join the Rockford group next time there is a get together. It was a nice time at the initial M&G Jeff put together in Jan. If enough guys from the Milwaukee area have interest, perhaps the location could be moved, say to Lake Geneva?

Anyway, no sense in starting up yet another group, let's work to see if we can morph this into something that works for most

  3. Wow! I haven't thought about the Ha-Ha in a long time. Drank a lot of PBR there. Used to live in K-town and Twin Lakes. Chicago now.

By the way; just what are you planning, Dr.?

  4. Hey Bob- Norb from Chicago here. Have you guys thought about a day at Da'Grove?

now you are talking my language!!!! There is talk about getting together at Byron Dragway. Maybe if enough guys express interest, Union Grove could be an alternative. I think Tudorjeff is the man and he deserves to be the decision maker as he set up the first M&G.

No matter where, I am all about meeting at a strip!

Oshkosh here, so something in the MIlwaukee area would definetly be doable.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee. Me ,my wife and kid go right this way when we go to visit my mom who lives in Delafield.

  24. I was thinking Union Grove is easier to get to. And they have a huge grassy area for picinics that you can park on.
The 'Grove will give an entry discount if a club thows an event there. Maybe on a day when the midwest gassers or nostalgia club are there. Call it a car show and you can cook and bring in coolers, too. They will even put the event in their ads. I'll help any way I can.

I think it's an awesome idea! The first thing you should do is get in touch with greg32 as he is the one who is setting up the event in Byron and he might have a date already. Other than that, here are my thoughts on the subject.

    If both of you could:
    1. Find a weekend that is not on top of another traditional event around here (probably the hardest part)
    2. Pick event weekends that are at least a month, maybe 6 weeks away from each other.
You would probably both have a good chance at a super turn-out.

If the best weekend falls on the HAMB on the rocks weekend, we can easily change it to early breakfast somewhere and then convoy to the track(s) so you don't need to take that into consideration. Thanks for the suggestion and run with it.
