After watching the panel van go up in flames on the fire extinguisher thread I got lost on you tube for a bit and found this. <object width="425" height="344"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TO85oPILBxg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>
Amazing how they pulled what they did with the cars and the way we know they were originally built. I've got footage of 58 Impala's being used for precision driving and ramp to ramp jumps in a thrill show. The 60's flicks "Fireball 500" and "Thunder Alley" trashed some beauties too. Rips your guts a little to watch, but it was back in the time they were considered junk like the 10-15 year old cars are today.
Looks like when the car hit the ramp and the weight shifted back, the trunk popped open cuz if you pause just as the car is leaving the ramp, he is already out kind of being dragged along the ramp. Maybe he was supposed to come out when they hit the jump, otherwise, why the hell would a guy ride in the trunk with the car going over a jump? Cool video though. made me think about that old footage of two locomotives colliding. Scott
I just busted a gut! That is some funny shit. Probably a leather helmet was all the safety gear! Thanks.
