    From New Old Guy,
The cowl is 3'-10" wide, 2'-5 1/2" tall, 1'-3 1/2" long, if this helps. Here are two closer pictures of the firewall also.

It's not a Model A cowl for sure.

I agree with BenD (check out the link). A friend of mine has a '29 Cabriolet with same cowl. You're lucky to have the matching hood. They're pretty hard to come by.

    From New Old Guy,
You guys are pretty good considering you are just looking at a piece of a car and pictures. Going back to BenD's link it does look like a 28-29 Briggs or Murry. Thanks for your help. GCWRED

As far as I know. ONLY the Model A Fords had cowl-mounted gas tanks SO that cowl is a 28-29 Fordor/Cabriolet cowl. It is missing the gas tank and the "spacer" section of the firewall but does have the distinctive Model A lower firewall profile.

Anybody who says it isn't a 28-9 Ford fordor (or cabriolet) is dead wrong.

upload_2016-10-21_19-50-40.png Really old post but to educate the new to Ford people this is what a 1928-29 Ford Fordor/Cabriolet cowl looks like. That is a stock 28-29 gas tank under the one piece stamping. Bob

interesting topic...I have the exact same cowl and was wondering what year....I thought 31' but now I know...
only trouble with mine is it has had the window frame section chopped off and has no firewall...

plan on making it into a roadster...got a fibreglass back section of a 28 a and will make the rest.
