I've done a search and couldn't find much. I'm wondering if a mid 60s Dynaflow would work on 1953 322 nailhead? It's going on a model a pickup. Any info would be much appreciated!

    Thanks.

The '57-'66 Buick bell housing pattern is based on a different sized arc, and since you'd have to do some adapting just to run a newer Dynaflush, you may as well do the same amount of adapting to run a real transmission, like a TH400.

Thanks for the input. So i'm guessing that I'd might as well buy a trans adapter then.

  6. There's an adapter for an early Ford tranny on da bay now, if that's the way you want to go.

I believe that the main transmission box and possibly the extension housing may work with your bell housing and torque converter. But I wouldn't guarantee it!

The converter will be an issue as well...
