Wow! Thanks that helps me a bunch. Looks like you chopped it a little more and slanted the rear window a little. I'm 6'7" tall so i got to go easy......... I wacked the back window and moved the style line up. The new line is the brown tape. may lean the rear window next. Ray

    It's rough but...

Shortened the rear. Took some of the crown out of the back of the cab top. No further chop.

Find yourself a DIVCO milk truck hood, they look like a great start for rear quarters. Someone will post a photo I'm sure.

1/4's need to be longer...you're gettin' there..

  23. 6´7"? Ok, I can see why you may just have a problem with an excessive chop!:D

Slant the back window more and the back of the roof can also go backwards a little more too. That should buy you more space. Or in fact looking at the length of the doors - ie short - what about a five window. I think if you chopped it as much as I showed in the photoshop you´d have no windscreen left!

The photo of the pickup/coupe is interesting. Its pretty good looking apart from the back of the roof looking like a pickup still. Have you looked around to see if you can find the back end of some sort of coupe? Would save a ton of work and lookm more factory too.

A better photo from exactly side on would help. The last one was looking up at the car.

ummmm, yea..... I think go with James D version. This pic looks like a conversion. You don't want a car that looks converted.

The roof has to be leaned to be able to pull it off and make it look right. James D has it nailed and if I were you I might would try to lengthen the doors a bit also. Just my .02, but this is going to be a great build never the less!

OK, The junk yard pu/coupe pic scared me......... I leaned the back window panel and changed the crown to the roof. All these pics helped a bunch. Ray

You got some serious ambition, dude. At 6'10", I feel your pain on the tight squeeze ... I'm VERY interested to see how you handle this.
One question: I can't imagine that fitting into a pickup cab comfortably is even remotely possible, so I imagine that making a 3Window will be a lot roomier... but I'm imagining myself in your seat and wont your head be right about where the sail panels are? I can only imagine it would be a serious blind spot to say the least. Any thoughts of making it a 5 window to avoid this issue?
You probably got this all figured out, but I'm really curious how you plan on arranging yourself for best possible fit. I've got a 28 Essex (3 window) and have not yet started on the body, but I can already tell that the 3 window, while being super-sweet and all, is really quite impractical for actual driving.
All right. I'll shut up now and watch this one avidly.
