I started my first build at age 62. Here it is (I hope the pic appears). If it doesn't, take my word for it..it hasn't been easy, but it's been fun. I've got a '33 Ford truck cab on a custom Model A frame. I did everything except build the frame & set up the dizzy. I chopped it 3" & channeled it 5." It took me a year to restore the cab & doors & build a firewall. It's got a 283 backed by a 4-speed Saginaw. Since it's my first, I stuck with the basics. Thus, it's not too inventive. I prefer to call it "traditionally inspired," rather than traditional, because it did use front discs & rear coilovers. I still have to do the wiring, brake plumbing, steering, bed & a million details. I couldn't have done it without the support of the HAMB, I can tell you that!

That's got a nice look. I prefer "simple/less is more" and you're doing a great job.

    Oh....... more pics.:D

I really like what I can see of that. And good work starting at 62. I started at about 38 and often think it was too late to start on this stuff.

I just don't know how I'm going to get enough cars built before I move on.

So here's a few more shots..one of the thing from the rear. There's an 11" kick-up in the rear & 4" in the front. The wheelbase is the stock 103 1/2." I didn't want a stretched out look. The floor is in progress & is done in three sections. It'll be removable (not that I'd relish doing that for any reason). The seats are from an M-37 Army truck. The seat pads may have to be changed out to be a little lower. Thanks for all of your compliments! It means a lot.

Damn Nice! Keeping the stock wheelbase was a good choice. I would really like some info on the frame specs / build if you've got time to pm me.

Really nice build! I'm also you're age, and just starting on another new project. When I think about the long dusty trail ahead, I must be nuts or a masochist!!:D

You're doing a beautiful job. You should be very proud of your accomplishments.

I'm 63 and in the middle of my '46 Chevy P-U build. It's taking a LOT longer than it used to, but being retired, I just don't have enough time!
