Putting all the ribbing to the side, if you would have just acted on the car and not hem hawed around then it would be a lot different.

I am in the process of looking for a car right now and if I see one that I am really interested in, after talking to the owner I am going to ask ask if someone here would go look at it and see if it is as nice as the guy makes it out to be. I am looking all over the Country and I dont like dropping a huge amount of cash on something site unseen, thats why I am going to ask a HAMBer to help me out. You can trust these guys, they are a really nice group of people and we look after each other. But if it turns out that I dont want it or it isnt what it was made out to be then everyone that is interested can have a shot at it, thats only fair.

We are over 50,000 members strong so dont play show and tell and not act on it.

You didn't mention the year. It looks like a 48 to me. I have a 51 hudson pacemaker 2 door and I would not trade it for anything. Mine is still going thru customizing, volare front clip, 351c engine bored 30 over. Maverick rear and caddy sgeering wheel. I have had this car for at least 15 years and I am 63. I have 6 street rods and after I finish my 64 bird the hudson is next to get finished. Keep it as kids come along but not always the cars we want. I want a 32 dodge 4 passenger sedan.

I dunno man, there's dirt on the side skirts. Looks like a pricey repair.

    Great catch, and congratulations!

I worked on Long Island for Steve Sessions back in the early to mid 70's.

He was in PA. back in the day when Hudsons were the dominant force in NASCAR. Marshall Teague? Was he the big Hudson guy? This was early 50's and maybe late fourties?

Anyway, Steve loved Hudsons and I got to learn a lot about this engineering ahead of it's time kinds of cars. Your Hudson is one of the first unit-bodies in American mass production. These stock were also some of the fastest cars of the day...until the overhead GM cars came out, anyway.

    Beautiful car!

If you need any parts get ahold of studhud here on the HAMB. He owns the chopped bare metal Hudson that was at the Sacrament Auto Rama. Great guy to deal with and I'm sure he's got a little of everything laying around. Damn good looking car!
