I think I would rather spend that kinda money on something that I could actualy use, a couple hunert would go a long way on my coupe build
There's a lot of guys doing this type of stuff now. I think it's pretty cool. GOOD art is well money spent I always says.
I agree.........I am a sucker for cool shit. I wish I was talented enough to do this. I think it would be a cool way to make a few extra $$$'s.
That's a fact! Factor in the price of the model, then the time and materials to do the car, it's a very good price, IMO! Do people expect these folks to sell these for $29.99, I wonder?
Junkyard Jewel? I thought this is how they are supposed to be driven? I can almost hear the Thin Lizzy!
My son has got several diecast cars similar to this called "For Sale"series, they sell them at Wal-Mart for $12-15 he's got a couple of VW's,a vette,a chevelle,a 57 chevy, and a 50 chevy truck and somemore I think,he loves old rough cars-wonder where he got that from?
I have seen those and they do not compare to these. Most of the cheap-done one do not look realistic. Ever seen rust on a rubber tire ??? I have actually seen some of these (junkyard jewels) in person and the are amazing.
Blah! Not one of those Vettes had any rust on them! Poor quality! Ok seriously..The're cool. If i didn't have so many real car parts i needed to buy yet i'd buy a few of them.
Ooh, I want the Fiero!!! . . . . . . Never mind, I'll just buy a real one for that much and run it through the woods.
For the cost of a Franklin Mint, compared to one of these....one of these is money well spent. For guys like me who suffer through a long winter, these are a nice alternative.
I agree, preety cool, of course I am one of those guys who can never finish anything, so there right up my alley. HA
Yeah, take a look at some the steps he does to build them. Price is fair I think. Plus you can send him your own die-cast as well and he can build one out of it. Wish I could do this kind of stuff.
