Hawgrod made the air cleaner tops to match the Thickstun dog bone intake. Thanks buddy they look great.I'm planning on painting red between the fins to match the intake. The intake with a wood model, It's early for paint but I'm thinking flame job with one lick on each side. My Pop was a firefighter and I'd like it to have the flame on there for him.
Damn, not only were they made to fit your ride Xderelict, but the were meant for your your ride. They look great. Kudo's to Hawgrod. HellRaiser
Starting to remind me of one of my favorite Art Deco era locomotives, the GG! (Raymond Loewy designed)...
Thats cool as hell,I've been sitting out in the garage tonight with one 5 inch headlight in the grill opening.I think that's what's going to happen.
sorry for the ratty pic- they really are beautiful when restored! AND, I thought you already had 1 headlight when I looked at this pic- must've been the angle...
Rod's pretty damn handy. Air cleaners looked great. The single headlight would keep things very streamlined, but I liked the ones you were working on the other nite. Gary
Lemme' know if you should "toy" with the idea of running "stacked" headlights, I might have something to contribute...........Has a bit of an "industrial" flavor.........Dual headlight assembly from an airport "jet tug", normally mounted horizontally, but it has an "asymmetrical" bezel or surround, which would work vertically...........No pics, would have to wait until a child is home on the weekend(college student)........Iffn' interested, it can be yours. NICE project, by the way!
Man that thing is really coming together. I can't wait for you and Kirk to duel it out at some point for the greatest single seater of 2009!
I asked about that on the first Legion post. We have an area I like to call the Platte Flats. It has some long straight stretches in some very remote places.Late night unsanctioned side by side land speed racing. If your passing thru on I 80 give me a shout. Your going to give me a big head.Wonder if I could change my screen name to bigheaddick.
It's ok if you DO get a big head, because that car rules. For the record here, let me be the first to say if you ever sell it I would like first chance at it.
Ford Econoline headlights and bezel from 1 side of of the truck would look killer mounted vertically, maybe fitted into a Edsel grill? Killer project!!
