Norrland, that thing is really cool! I had a dumb question: In some of the sheet metal you added there are lightening holes. How is this done where get the lip around the hole? Is it some type of punch? Thanks a lot!
Well, I guess that's one way to make sure you have enough room between the water pump and the radiator. Should be fun to drive sitting on the rear axle!
Im sad to say ! There will now be 1 week with no time for messing with our beloved Gasser (Kimmen is i Egypt on vaccation and i have some home dutys and job hunting to do). But i hope there will be some comments activity on this tread anyway. If anything would happen u will be the first ones to know!!
Looks like a fun project, I'm surprised I never came across this thread before but it has been an interesting read. Little foreign cars with American power KICK ASS !
Thanks igorw! Your Saab with the 348 is not to bad ether. Tomorrow maybe there will be some updates to this Old Fart again...
I agree, very cool! Besides if your not driving from the back seat you have too much car and not enough motor.
Sorry I missed this post when it first came out. I used to work with a guy that drove one of these everyday for regular transportation. I know it's not the same one, but cool to see one come back this way. Great job!
I just got the 2-1/2" to do a visor. http://www.irvansmith.com/scart/punches-hole-flares-c-3_54_55.html
Thanks for the comments. Will have to give the Ol 41 (see pic) some nursery for a week or 2, but after that we will get to buissness with this Ol fart again!!
lovin the progress. cant wait to see the finished product. great to see something so cool can be built for so cheap.
Norrland, you guys froze to death? Or just can't dig your way out to the garage? Updates, we need updates.
