Projects Progress, After 4 year wait.32 coupe

    When was the car wrecked?

    It looks like it wears its '50s laquer paint. Maybe those damn hot rodders were racing down the back roads and flipped.


    Looks great and I wish my metal guy was that cheap!!!

    In removing paint we found traces of blue. The car was wrecked in about 85 or 86. I was told the owner was on way home from a show....JOHN

    Stunning work. I'm really glad to see that you chose to save it instead of scrapping it out as a lost cause. Can't wait to see more!

    Been following this one; getting that thing straight is soooooo much work!! And it looks like dude has got that roof dead-on! Exciting progress! Count me among the riveted subscribers to this thread.

    Why would I scrap it out I bought it this way. Its the only way I could afford a 32 five window....That and any 32 ford is not a lost cause....JOHN

    Hey, great to see the build on the coupe.
    Just a quick intro, I too do the same thing and go to the clients place to work on his car, no hassles no complaints.
    Its great working this way.
    Just recently did few caddilacs in Europe , and now in Mexico doing a custom merc for a guy.

    Not much to see in pics, But he finished welding cowl skin in pass A pillar, Finished welding around winshield opening and has the right side rocker and patch fitted. He will be installing them tommorrow.....JOHN

    are you going to fill the roof? or are you going to use the wood and clothe like the original?

    Also how much is it chopped?

    No not going to fill, Probbally going to be pleated in white to match the interior. Chop is about 3.5 inches best we can tell, with layed back A pillars....JOHN

    Well heres some more...Rocker and patch panel in front of wheel well have been fit, And a drop down in the door opening fabricated. There is still some finish welding to be done on this side then its off to the drivers side.....JOHN

    Yes, He does good work, He chopped a buddies 28 Model A sedan in Madera over 15 years ago in one day and he also did a house call:) it is amazing what him and his brother can do with just a hammer:rolleyes:

    Yes He does some fine work..And here is some more samples of what he got done today. Drop down in pass door opening. And everything finish welded.And he started on drivers side.....JOHN
