Barn find typicaly implies that it has been forgotten for years in a barn/shed and by chance you stumbled upon it! anyways looks like a real clean car congrats to the guy and I hope he enjoys it as-is for awile at least.

I thank the owner for allowing me to view the car , get underneath and really look close at it . The owner is Lonnie Gilbertson . Lonnie has been around this stuff for well over 50 years now . He has built cars that have won the AMBR award at the GNRS twice and continues to build quality to this day . I know he will do the car justice . I'm glad I got to see the car in "as found" condition..........Z.D.

I had heard that he was still active and building cars. That car is in good hands and I hope we will get to follow it's progress. Not a lot of guys out there that can say they won the AMBR 2 times. I take it he still has his fully equiped shop.. If so I don't think there is anything he can't do when it comes to metal.
    Thanks for sharing.

When I did a new chassis for my 5w this spring , Lonnie let me work with him, we did it at the machine shop he and his brother own . This is a picture when my car was there . Looks like it could have been 1964 not 2008..........Z.D.
