Does anyone have any pics of late 50's early sixties custom cars with engine turned gauge panels? I'm tossing ideas around in my head for my car. I was going to use a 53 plymouth gauge panel but I'm not sure how to adapt the newer style speedo cable to the 53 speedometer. Thanks, later shawn

Here is my personal art deco favorite(I am biased though) 1933 DeSoto came in both black and woodgrained. Was actually hand painted on the back of the glass.

Here's my dash under construction, I am using '36 ford gauges with a nifty
centre section that slides up to reveal the radio taken from a '50 Nash Airflight.

what about older sunpro or older autometer, depends on the year. I have a vintage aircraft mechanical oil pressure gauge you could have, but it's not illuminated. no point in it collecting dust.

  23. Now that's different......very cool!

  24. Here's some.....The first one is in my roadster, from a Vanguard (English), next is Fiat500 (would look good bolted to a steering column, but don't go too fast!),
the last one is Peugeot 403, I picked it up at swap meet and thought the "ESSENCE" guage was kinda neat(That's "gas" to you non- frenchies)

I made this out of a flat aluminum panel then upholstered it to match the interior.
