I need some help, please..Moving cars asap

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by desertratrodder, Dec 27, 2008.

  1. Some of you know I had a wrecking yard with my brother here in Littlerock, Ca. We have alot of classic cars.
Last year, I decided that partnership wasn't working out, so I split from the business, and got all the classic cars for my part. I moved about half, and the other half are still at his yard. He told me it was no problem to keep them there, and I'd help him out here and there towing and such in return. I come to find out a few days ago that he is 6 months behind on the rent and he is getting thrown out.
He wont give me a straight answer on the last day. I have a feeling its the end of the month.

So, he has been moving all his shit, and mine is still there. My rollback tow truck shit the motor a week ago. I have no truck to pull a trailer.
I have approx 50 cars to move by Thursday.
They need to go approx 5-9 miles away.
I can pay fuel, and food, and can pay you later for your time. I just don't have enough cash to pay to move them all.
    Half have wheels, half dont.
So if someone with a tow truck or a few guys with trailers and trucks can help out, PM me, and I'll get you my cell #.
If they get left behind, the Iranians that own the land will crush them.
    Thanks Ray

Shit... I know this doesn't help, but if I was closer I'd have a halfway decent sized posse to get this job done for you.

  11. maybe you could pay the rent for another month and buy some time? or work out something else with the land owner for more time?

I'm in Lancaster with a trailer (although there is a car on it right now which I should be able to offload this afternoon.) Give me a call on my cell 802-8415. Dan

  19. I just got home...thanks to the guys I could get a hold of this morning that helped out.
Sorry I missed all the PM's from today since I was not here.
I'm still going to be working on this for the next 3 days, I won't know about after Thursday. I guess if there isnt a new lock on the gate, I'll keep working until there is..
The address for this place, for those that asked is 57855-B 90th st east, Littlerock, Ca 93543. My cell # is 661 406 1229.
I should have put that in the first post..
The yard is BEHIND Jones auto wrecking, which is right on 90th.
Don't call them or go in there looking for me. You see Iranians, just turn around.
Look for a yellow and black sign that says Antelope Valley Auto Wrecking. theres a big red arrow on top pointing the way.
If you don't have a trailer or truck, but can bring a jack and tools to change tires and help with loading/ unloading trailers.
I'm working on borrowing some trailers and tow dollies.
The cars are going to 4 different places, none further than 15 miles or so.
The ones with tires are going the furthest. The stuff that does not/ cannot roll is going about 6 miles away.
Hopefully I'll have a forklift tomorrow to make loading much faster.

    Thanks again, Ray

Just left a message on your phone. Give me a call I ll call in sick if you need help tommorrow

  26. The location in the picture is from 3 years ago. The big empty dirt patch is the place.
The cars I have to move are a few 30's-40's. Majority Mid-late 50's, early -mid 60's.
    Cars and trucks.
they are Fo Mo Co products, Mopars, Stude, Desoto, Packard, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick,

Does it really matter the makes? they are all worth saving to me.

I have to turn off my phone to charge it fully..Why I don't know,
so if you call and it goes to message box, leave a message with your # and the TIME you called.
It does not tell me when and your #. If you don't leave one, I will never know you called.

    Thanks guys for the support.
