anyone have any pictures of 51 chevy or pontiac gassers? my wife doesn't want the 51 pontiac 4 door a got her, she wants my 53 ford now. so i was thinking why not make it a project for my club and do it up as a gasser and start racing it. im guessing there were not too many 4 door gassers but i already have the car and it doesn't cost my anything. i've seen plenty of 54-58 chevy gassers but i dont remember seeing any 51's. so if you have a pic please post it.

i did some investigating...the car did not meet reserve and sold to a friend of the owner's. I believe it resides in No. IL now. Hope the guy decides to drive/race it again.
Love your Thames. Reminds me of one I used to watch run in the 60's that actually had a similar rust primer finish. That one was Y-block powered and was owned by a fellow who lived near Rockport, IN. When do you plan to put yours on the strip?
